The music video we will be remaking is called We're Rollin by the K.I.G Family which is on a lot of different music channels.
The reason why I chose to remake this video is because it’s very different to all the other music videos that are put now. I believe that it is a bit harder to make than all the other music videos because it is so much different. However I also believe that the music video is also simple to remake, I say this because I believe that the things we need are very easy to get access to and very cheap if we need to spend some money.
In order to remake the music video we need a lot of people this might be a little hard because a lot of people have different things to do in their spare time. We also need a lot of space and time to remake this video because we want the remake to be very successful.

Smooth Criminal
Smooth Criminal is another of my favourite music video. When I watch this I analysis it and see what Michael Jackson really sends the message to the audience. In the music video, from the moment he walks through the door everyone in the club stop and stair at him, Michael then flicks a coin at the jukebox and then his music starts to play and everyone is dancing.
The song contains a fast-peace beat intertwined with Jackson's lyrics about a woman named Annie, who has been attacked in her apartment by a ‘smooth’ assailant.
Chorus:
Annie Are You Ok
So, Annie Are You Ok
Are You Ok, Annie
Annie Are You Ok
So, Annie Are You Ok
Are You Ok, Annie
Annie Are You Ok
So, Annie Are You Ok
Are You Ok, Annie
Annie Are You Ok
So, Annie Are You Ok, Are You Ok, Annie
(Annie Are You Ok)
(Will You Tell Us That You're
Ok)
(There's A Sign In The
Window)
(That He Struck You-A
Crescendo Annie)
(He Came Into Your
Apartment)
(He Left The Bloodstains On
The Carpet)
(Then You Ran Into The
Bedroom)
(You Were Struck Down)
(It Was Your Doom)
You've Been Hit By
You've Been Hit By-
A Smooth Criminal
I really like the music video becasue of the dancing, and the fact that the song suites the setting of the place, and the clothing including Michael Jackson. In my music video I wish to add in the way the camera angle is. For example in Smooth Criminal there are some high camera angles and low camera angle.
Music Video P.diddy ft Pharrell- d.i.d.d.y
This is one of my favourite music video. Analysing the music video, the message that the artist is sending across to the audience is that the singer is stating his name and who he is. There are a group of dancers P.diddy dancing with including girls. This sends a message that P.diddy is wealthy because of the cloths his wearing, and has a lot of friends his dancing with. He then looks at the mirror looking at himself, and then it switches to the music video.
I also looked at the lyrics he says in the song he sings and he spells his name in the chorus: Its the D the I the D the D the Y
The D the I the D
It's Diddy, (Hold Up) It's Diddy (That's crazy)
It's the D the I the D the D the Y
The D the I the D
Its Diddy, (Hold Up), It's Diddy (Say What!)
This chorus goes on while the perfumers dance with P.Diddy in the music video celebrating his name. I like the the music vedeo because as the camera switches to another person dancing the screen flashes 'D.I.D.D.Y' which is a good idea since the name of the song is called 'D.I.D.D.Y'. In this music video the thing that I would want to use in my own video is the dancing. I like the dancing and I would like to dance like all of them in the video.
Like a Prayer
An example we looked was Madonna’s music video and the lyrics. This was band in the UK before and we looked at this because it was a good example on how her message in her lyrics and in her music video came out and gave some wrong ideas to the viwers. When you look at the lyrics of her song, the chorus:
When you call my name it’s like a little prayer
I’m down on knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I’ll take you there
It was a very fine example becasue Modonna's 'Like a prayer' music video at the time that it was released it was a huge hit on the music charts. Still today 'Like a Prayer' is a very well known song. At this time, it was the centre of controversy with parent groups, church groups, mainstream media and the government.
In the opening scences of the video you see Madonna witness a crime and a black man coming to help the women just in the time when the cops get there. The black man is arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The black man was totally innocnet and infact wanted to help the women.
So Modonna goes to the church where she prayers to the black Jeusus, which also looks like the hero earlier. Jesus was an innocnet and sin free person wrongly accused of crimes that he did not commit. This is the connection that Madonna was trying to establish with the black Jesus.
When Madonna dozes off on the church bench she has a dream of being in haven and then she is infront of burning crosses. Burning crosses are usally synonymous with the KKK. The media and the church thought that she was promoting the KKK, which is one of the reasons they band her music video in the UK. But Madonna was trying again to establish the assult on innocence and the content of the burning crosses and the black Jesus fits in.

Last Year Media Studies
Last year felt exciting for me because I was thinking in my head that I would be watching films, music and many more that got to do with entertainment, and this got me excited to learn this interesting subject. I learnt a lot of different things, for example the Hypodermic needle theory which is how we take media into our mind and that it would be difficult to control it and it is very easy to copy the actions of what he have either watched, heard etc. The other things that I learnt were the video game industry and how they have developed. This topic interested me because it made me see how violent video games can control most people to copy the action which is why I believe that the killing on the streets is based on people practicing on violent video games. The whole class studied this and watched clippings of how to boys killed the whole school just because they played most violent games and practised it.
Our media group had many strength and weakness as a group last year. Our strength was that we were able arrange dates and times to do the settings of our thriller movie outside of school hours because this meant that we were able to spend more time on the project and catch up on the time our group had missed out on.
Our mission was to create a 3 minute thriller movie trailer and edit it. In order for our group to succeed in creating this and going it well was that we had to plan and structure our work very carefully. We all sat down together discussing how the movie and type would be like, by writing the scripts, drawing storyboard on how the movie would be and writing down the settings of were each of the scenes would be at.
Our weakness that our group had was that there would be times that the whole group would be lazy to do the work and give excuses to leave the work another time. This year we have learnt our lesson that when there is work to do we have to get it done and be consistent at all times. Although we planned the movie scenes I believe that another weakness was that we wasn’t able to create a very good movie all because we left work till the end and was rushing at the end. This year we would organise our self’s and do the work right.
After reviewing on my based performance and the stuff that I'm working today in A Level I think that I can do well and get a better grade. The things that we are learning are the music video and why some of the videos were band in this country. This is very interesting because we analyse the music and look both the lyrics and music video to analyse why it was band the fist place.

HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA PROJECT
This year’s media course I’m doing now is basically focusing on music video. We started this term by looking at the history of the music videos and how they came about. The whole class researched on the music videos since when it fist came about to the present time. I have learnt that a music video is a short film or video that accompanies a complete piece of music/song, which is why music video came about to the audience. I went on the learn a lot about the music technology for example in the 1950’s the visual jukebox was invented in France and short music films were produced by many French artist. This was then used to spread to other countries and similar machines. After looking at how the history of the music video came about we all went to look at how it had developed and the most expensive music video that was made.
In 1964, The Beatles cemented their newfound international fame by starring in their first feature film A Hard Day's Night, directed by Richard Lester. Shot in black and white and presented as a mock documentary, it was a loosely structured musical fantasia interspersing comedic and dialogue sequences with exciting and innovative musical sequences. The musical sequences furnished the basic templates on which countless subsequent promo clips and music videos were modelled and it has exerted a huge influence on the style and visual vocabulary of the genre.
Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson – scream music video was the most expensive cost because of the spaceship and the gravitational things that was going on etc. I believe that music video has change and how this has changed people around the world because it gets people excited whenever they see a music video of today, but not when it first came out because it was boring then.
We look at different types of music video and then analyse it in details along with the lyrics as well. When we look deep into the music video’s we focus on the message of the song and what the message is trying to draw across to the viewers and listener. The materials also matter in analysing the music videos.
The materials also matters in analysing the music video. Before we started our coursework we had to research on music videos since when it first came out about to the present time.
